Released 26/12/2022 - Previous version 4.234
Please note this firmware release only applies to the zappi v2 with built in Ethernet, WiFi and "vHub". These zappis have a serial number starting with a "2" or higher
It does not apply to previous versions of zappi without the built in WiFi/Ethernet.
Bug Fixes
-
Device Status “boosting” could not have been cleared once set. This resulted in the wrong state being reported in the API + some reports from customers of zappi boosting at the wrong times
- Clock sometimes missed a day at the end of the month. Only visible to customer if "Update from Cloud" was not turned on
Improvements
-
Change to the way that charge logs are stored and transmitted to the myenergi servers.
This will provide more data to the server (eg %age Green) and improve the reliability of the data upload to the server
All charge logs are uploaded from the zappi to give a complete history
Note - Only charge logs generated after the firmware is updated will have the full plug in / unplug + charge start/charge end times. Older logs will set the charge start/charge end times to match the plug in / unplug times
Important - The change to the way that charge logs are stored and uploaded to the servers is being rolled out across the myenergi devices. If your use a physical hub (rather than the vhub built into the new zappi v2 + WiFi/vHub) then the new log format will not be available. A hub update will be made available very soon. -
Further actions to reduce the data that is sent to the servers if it has already been successfully received.
New Features / Enhancements
-
For zappis fitted with tamper protection board (required for new zappis in England, Scotland and Wales from 30/12/2022), if zappi detects that it may have been tampered with then this is logged and a message sent to the server.
Provided your zappi is connected to the internet the firmware will download automatically over the week following the firmware release. The final step to install the firmware is carried out from the local zappi controls - see this article for more details: Updating the firmware on your zappi v2 + WiFi/vHub
