Introduction
As part of our OCPP implementation we've allowed the use of 5 digit PIN codes. You might not always want PIN codes to allow access to the charger and instead would prefer the OCPP Central System you're using to decide on which PIN codes should be used.
By turning off the local allow list:
- All PIN code entries will be sent to the OCPP Central System for Authorisation
- You'll turn off the master PIN code on zappi (Requiring a remote unlock to adjust zappi settings)
- You'll only allow charging or access to the charger by central system authenticated PIN codes or remoteStartTransactions.
Caution
zappi must maintain an internet connection to allow access to the charger. Without an internet connection it may not be possible to unlock zappi until an internet connection is restored.
How to turn off local authentication
You can turn off local authentication on zappi by setting the LocalAuthListEnabled value to False in the OCPP configuration.
