Released 05/10/2023 - Previous version 5.178
Please note this firmware release only applies to the eddi v2.1 with built in Ethernet, WiFi and "vHub". These eddis have a serial number starting with a "2" or higher
It does not apply to previous versions of eddi without the built in WiFi/Ethernet.
New Features
- In accordance with the requirements for devices that provide a grid import/export limit (UK Engineering Recommendation G100), multiple load excursions now result in a "lockout," which can only be reset by Tech Support (see notes below).
Improvements
- eddi now utilises the internal CT more effectively, improving the accuracy of power and current readings for diverted power.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved issue where eddi did not enter "Max Temp Reached" state when the device was being limited while boosting.
- Fixed scrolling issue within the CT menus.
- The hot cancel delay setting now prevents a timed scheduled boost from exiting early when the connected load switches to an open circuit (heater thermostat opens).
- The house icon now correctly displays on the main screen when the device is being limited.
- When eddi detects an open circuit on an output (due to the heater thermostat), it now reaches the "Max Temp Reached" state more quickly.
- Fixed an issue where both heaters reaching temperature simultaneously could cause oscillations, preventing the device from receiving allocated power.
- Resolved issue with the eddi 2.1 relay board where relays would not switch on after extended inactivity.
- Fixed issue with two-heater setups using PT1000 sensors. When the primary heater can no longer take power, eddi now correctly switches to the secondary heater.
- Historic power/energy data now uses updated CT values.
- Addressed a bug that improved the functionality of the setup wizard.
- On the linked device info screen, a libbi that is export-limited will now display an "E" next to it. This only applies to the master device.
- Fixed an issue where the Installer Wizard appeared on a device that was already configured.
- Resolved issue where the import/export power of the property would not display if the eddi was idle.
Notes
- The G100 changes mean that if eddi is unable to bring the load/export back within the limit within 15 seconds, a lockout may be activated.
Important - when updating to V5 firmware (from v2, v3 or v4) it is important that all zappis and eddis are also updated to V5 so that they can continue to work together.
