This article page will go over the most often asked question we get about Demand Side Response and in specifically the collaboration with Axle.

It's important to note, that not everyone is able to join the project sadly, we will reach out to those who are able to take part

You paused my charger but I didn’t receive any earnings yet.

We process your rewards on a monthly basis, so we’ll send you an email at the end of the month detailing your earnings, and how to withdraw your cash.

I don’t want you to pause my car charging between X pm and Y pm.

We don’t currently support custom time windows for participation, however you are welcome to manually override the commands that we send at any time.

I received an email saying that you can’t connect to my charger. Why couldn’t you connect and what happens now?

Common causes of this are that your charger may have lost internet access/gone offline, or may not have the latest firmware.
We’ll keep trying to connect to your charger.

My charge was paused at an inconvenient time.

Sorry that this wasn’t a convenient time to pause your charger.

Feel free to manually override the commands that we’ve sent to your charger. You can do this by switching your charging mode back from ECO+ to your preferred mode and setting your preferred charging schedule.

I want to leave Gridpay.

I received an email saying that I’m signed up with another balancing provider. I’m not!

Often this means that your local grid operator has informed us that you're participating in another grid flexibility service, which prevents you from being part of Gridpay.

Commonly this can be caused by an Intelligent Octopus tariff. Because Octopus has control over EVs or batteries on this tariff, they sometimes participate in grid flexibility markets on the customer's behalf. This could mean that your assets are already participating in flexibility markets, and therefore you cannot participate with Gridpay at the same time.
