What do the tests involve and what will they do to my device?
The Capacity Market has yet to be activated, but part of supporting it involves testing flexible capacity in a very light-touch manner. These tests ensure that any aggregated capacity can respond to signals from the grid operator as required. The tests are brief, non-intrusive, and should be virtually unnoticeable to our customers. They will not impact overall charging requirements.
Is myenergi making money from this activity? Why are customers not being paid for this Demand Side Response (DSR)?
Our goal is to create value from these services for both myenergi and our customers. Although we are not generating this type of value yet, we hope to do so in the future.
Will you inform me before any adjustments are made to my device?
Yes, we will always aim to notify customers of any specific grid response events. You will have the option to override any specific event, which can be done in the myenergi app under the ‘Settings’ menu by selecting ‘Disable DSR for 24 hours’.
I don’t want to take part in DSR. How do I opt out?
You can opt out of DSR permanently by logging into your myenergi account at myaccount.myenergi.com and selecting this option under ‘Preferences’. Further guidance is available in the Help Centre under "How to Opt Out of Demand Side Response (DSR)".
Why can’t I see anything about DSR in my account?
If DSR does not appear as an option when you log in, it means you have either already opted out or have been excluded from the DSR activity.
Why didn’t I receive the email? Has my zappi been enrolled?
Only customers who received a specific email have had their zappi devices enrolled in new programmes. If you did not receive this email, your zappi has not been included.
What change has been made to the Privacy Policy?
We have updated our privacy policy. The changes can be viewed on the myenergi website. It is important to stay informed about how your data is used, so please review the updated policy.
What have you done to my zappi? To what has it been enrolled?
We have not made any changes to your zappi device, and it will continue to function normally. However, we are exploring opportunities to include an aggregated pool of zappi devices in a programme for automatic grid response in the future, aiming to enhance the efficiency of the energy grid.
What if I don’t want my zappi included? How do I remove it or opt out?
If you prefer not to have your device participate in this programme, you can easily opt out. Simply log in to your myenergi account, go to preferences, and deselect the DSR (Demand Side Response) option. This will ensure your device is not included in the automatic grid response.
Does this affect any other DSR services in which I am already participating or wish to use?
The enrolment of your zappi device in our DSR feature may affect your ability to use other DSR services. If you wish to participate in other services, you may need to opt out of our programme first by following the provided instructions.
How is myenergi handling my data?
We are committed to protecting your data and ensuring transparency in its use. For details on how we handle your data in relation to the DSR programme, please refer to our privacy policy available on our website.
