Having a stable Wi-Fi connection is essential for your myenergi products to work correctly. Whether you're using the myenergi app to monitor performance, schedule charging, or enable smart features like grid monitoring or off-peak charging, a reliable internet connection ensures everything runs smoothly.
If you're setting up a new device, moved house, or recently changed your internet provider, this guide will show you exactly how to get your device connected to Wi-Fi again. The steps vary slightly depending on whether your product has a screen (like zappi, eddi, or libbi) or doesn’t (like GLO), but we cover both.
We’ve also included troubleshooting steps and advice to help you improve your connection if you're having signal issues, so you can get back to using your myenergi system with confidence.
Important
If you’ve recently changed your internet provider or replaced your router, it’s very likely you’ll need to reset and reconnect your myenergi devices to Wi-Fi. Old settings won’t carry over automatically. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see how to reset the connection.

- Uses WPA2 security (WPA3 may cause connection issues).
- Has a stable internet connection with minimal packet loss.
- MAC address filtering is disabled, or the myenergi device is whitelisted.
- SSID broadcasting is enabled (hidden networks may not be detected).
myenergi devices use 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n).
They do not support 5GHz This ensures reliable performance across different network environments, allowing for stable data transfer and enhanced user experience.
- Check Network Compatibility:
Ensure your router supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, as myenergi devices do not support 5GHz bands.
If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks under the same name, consider separating them or temporarily disabling 5GHz during setup. - Improve Signal Strength
Place the myenergi device closer to the router, especially during setup.
If your mobile device also has poor signal strength at the device location, consider using a Wi-Fi range extender to improve coverage. - Restart Your Router and Device
Power off your router for a few seconds and restart it. Wait for it to re-establish an internet connection.
Restart your myenergi device and attempt to reconnect. - Verify Network Credentials
Double-check that the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly. Even minor mistakes will prevent connection. - Check Mobile Device Connectivity
If the myenergi device fails to connect, check if your phone or tablet connects successfully to the router near the device.
This helps determine whether the issue lies with the device or network. - Reset to New Network Settings
If you've changed your router or internet provider, reset and reconnect your myenergi device to the new network, as it will not automatically detect these changes.
To clear saved Wi-Fi details and reconnect to a new network, follow the steps below using the on-screen menu.
- Locate the Reset Wi-Fi Option
- Navigate to Menu > Other/Device Settings > Installer Settings > Reset Wi-Fi Config.
- If prompted, enter the Installer PIN. This is often supplied by your installer or may be found in your documentation.
- Confirm the Reset
- Press the tick (✓) or plus (+) button to confirm the reset.
- The screen will return to the previous menu, but no confirmation message is shown – this is normal.
What Happens Next?
Your myenergi device will now forget the previous Wi-Fi network details and appear unconnected. You’ll need to set up the Wi-Fi connection again.
