New Features

On start-up after a power cut, a power loss duration screen will appear if there was an active charging session before the power cut and if the EV is connected on start-up. This screen is purely informative and will still allow the zappi to start a new charging session."

Improvements

Integration of "EVSE State Engine 2.0", major upgrade to the heart of our zappi EV charging system. This enhanced firmware is a complete redesign of the core engine that drives our zappi devices, built to handle the fast-changing landscape of EV charging. It’s more than just an upgrade—it’s a total transformation of how we approach backend development, aimed at improving scalability, increasing security, and enabling faster deployment of new features.

In terms of device behaviour, the new state Engine is completely transparent and acts as a drop-in replacement for the existing state engine

Bug Fixes

  • When a system consists of only a single myenergi device, if that device is not the master then the device would not have entered the “master lost” fault state.
  • Zappi as a vHub device was not forwarding all PT1000 temperature readings from an eddi.
  • Fixed a bug where power limits would not function if there were no myenergi devices drawing power on phase 1.
  • PIN lock did not activate immediately on startup and would never relock in a fault state. Lock (if enabled) will now be active on startup. Menu relocks after lock timeout when in a fault state. When the menus are locked and the device is in a fault state, the 3s timer will not countdown while the menu button is pressed.
  • When zappi (in commercial mode) entered a state of having no IP address, the device menus could not be accessed (after the menu lock screen).
  • Resetting G100 counters while in lockout and during fault conditions, no longer prevents further lockout
  • G100 resets are now clearing on a non-master device without a restart
  • Change to the handling of charge transactions when in or entering stop mode.
  • Cable graphic was not displayed properly when EV wasn't connected

Important - when updating to V5 firmware it is important that all zappis and eddis are also updated to V5 so that they can continue to work together.
