In order to offer full-home back-up in a black-out (power cut) situation, the property needs to be isolated from the grid whilst the back-up supply is working. This requires a special back-up relay to be fitted, which is powerful enough to switch all the loads in the house. The libbi doesn't (presently) have this functionality.
