libbi doesn’t require a smart meter to optimise charging around a time of use tariff, however, in order to sign up to a smart energy tariff with your electricity provider, a smart meter is needed. This will need to be arranged through your electricity provider directly.
Upon first setup of the libbi, the customer will be prompted to enter their energy tariff details into the myenergi app, in order for us to ensure libbi is charged at the cheapest times possible.
