This guide will explain and show you how to update a current generation libbi V1
Being on the latest firmware is one crucial way to prevent security breaches. To ensure you are always on the most up-to-date firmware, your zappi will regularly check for new software and you will be notified in your myenergi app when updates are available. If it has then you will receive a notification in the myenergi app.
The app will prompt you to install an update similar to the image below.
If this comes up, you can either install now or delay. Delaying will only work 3 times, the 4th you will be unable to use libbi via our app until the update is installed.
Updating via libbi
- Navigate to the Download Firmware menu and select the option to download the firmware
On the zappi, the menu is "Device Settings - Firmware Update- Download..."
The download progress is shown on the screen.
- Once the download is complete, on the "Firmware Update" menu, now select the option to "Install..."
- Your zappi will now update its firmware and reboot
Forcing a background download
If the display says "Status: Up to date" then libbi has not downloaded any new firmware.
You can force libbi to check for new firmware by selecting "Download..." and then pressing the + button If there is a new firmware image available then it will be downloaded to the libbi, and the status of the download will be displayed on the screen.
Once the download is complete the new firmware can be installed.
