Updating devices is crucial for several reasons:

  • Firstly, updates often contain patches for security vulnerabilities, helping to safeguard against potential threats and data breaches.
  • Secondly, updates can improve device performance, efficiency, and reliability, ensuring smoother operation and a better user experience. Additionally, updates often introduce new features or enhancements, enhancing functionality and keeping devices up-to-date with evolving technology standards.

Overall, regular updates are essential for maintaining the security, performance, and functionality of devices in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape. Below are your two ways of updating libbi.

Background downloads

Being on the latest firmware is one crucial way to prevent security breaches. To ensure you are always on the most up-to-date firmware, your libbi will regularly check for new software and you will be notified in your myenergi app when updates are available. If it has then you will receive a notification in the myenergi app.

The app will prompt you to install an update similar to the image below.

If this comes up, you can either install now or delay. Delaying will only work 3 times, the 4th you will be unable to use libbi via our app until the update is installed.

Updating via libbi Controller

  • Navigate to the Download Firmware menu and select the option to download the firmware
On the libbi, the menu is "Device Settings - Firmware Update- Download..."

The download progress is shown on the screen.
  • Once the download is complete, on the "Firmware Update" menu, now select the option to "Install..."

  • Your libbi controller will now update its firmware and reboot
