When the eddi and zappi were first produced they were designed with radio that worked at 868MHz.
This is an unlicensed radio frequency in most countries.
However, in Australia and New Zealand this frequency is not available and the freely available frequency is 915MHz.
The first eddi's and zappi's supplied to Australia and New Zealand were allowed as they were imported to test the market and were not, at that point, using the wireless.
The first eddi's and zappi's supplied to Australia and New Zealand were allowed as they were imported to test the market and were not, at that point, using the wireless.
We now supply products for Australia and New Zealand that are set to work at 915MHz - which is why the harvi and eddi/zappi will not talk to each other.
To fix this, please follow these instructions to put the harvi into 915MHz mode:
- Press and hold the pair button until the LED flashes blue.
- Continue to hold until the LED has flashed rapidly through the whole sequence of 1 flash, 2 flashes, 3 flashes…up to 8 flashes.
- Continue to hold the pair button down and the LED will flash yellow once to select 868MHz and then twice for 915MHz
- After the Harvi has flashed yellow twice, the harvi has been switched to the 915MHz frequency.
Note that you must go through the whole sequence of channels available at one frequency until you get to the sequence for the second frequency.
