These instructions apply to the hub (Ti & PIC)

Updating devices is crucial for several reasons:

  • Firstly, updates often contain patches for security vulnerabilities, helping to safeguard against potential threats and data breaches.
  • Secondly, updates can improve device performance, efficiency, and reliability, ensuring smoother operation and a better user experience. Additionally, updates often introduce new features or enhancements, enhancing functionality and keeping devices up-to-date with evolving technology standards.

Overall, regular updates are essential for maintaining the security, performance, and functionality of devices in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape. Below are your two ways of updating libbi.

Warning: Double-check the serial number of your hub - We have two variants of HUB. 1 series and 2 series, You can tell what you have via the serial number. Those that start with a 1 is a series 1 and those that start with a 2 are series 2, below please ensure you are using the correct instructions for that device. Before starting the update we recommend that all devices are set to use the radio channel 1 or 4.

Current firmware includes a change to radio channels which may mean they cannot talk to the hub once the hub firmware is updated.  Once all devices are updated it should be possible to use one of the other channels if needed.

Warning: This update may take up to 5 minutes and will involve the hub rebooting several times.  Please be patient to allow the update to be completed!
