Overview
The primary function of myenergi products is to serve as solar divert devices. However, with the recent modifications to export energy tariffs, it may, in certain situations, prove to be more economical to export surplus generation during the day while utilising boost devices at night.
Export Margin
Although this capability was not specifically incorporated into the design of myenergi products, users can achieve this by adjusting the export margin settings on their devices or network. The available menu options may vary slightly depending on the firmware version installed on your device; it is important to note that this adjustment is made only on the master device.
Menu > Other/Device Settings > Installer Settings > Supply Grid > Network > Export Margin
Conclusion
It is advisable to set your export margin to a high value, preferably exceeding the total potential output of your solar array and the export capacity of any batteries within your property. By doing so, you will maximise grid export during daylight hours without the need to manually deactivate your Eddi, Zappi, or libbi devices or unplug them.
