The eddi+ device is designed with advanced 3-phase outputs to optimize the use of single 3-phase immersion heaters. Here’s how it works and why it’s beneficial for your energy management needs.

3-Phase Output Configuration

eddi+ is equipped with three load outputs designed for seamless integration with a single 3-phase immersion heater:

  • Load Output L1: Variable output ranging from 0 to 3kW.
  • Load Outputs L2 & L3: Fixed outputs, each delivering 3kW.

Sequential Activation for Optimal Performance

To efficiently manage energy surplus, eddi+ activates these outputs in sequence, allowing for a smooth and linear output up to a total of 9kW:

  • Surplus Up to 3kW:

    • L1: Utilized exclusively, varying output from 0 to 3kW based on the available surplus.

  • Surplus Above 3kW:

    • L2: Activates to deliver a fixed 3kW.
    • L1: Supplements L2’s output, providing the necessary power to meet the surplus demand up to 6kW.
    • Example: For a surplus of 4.7kW, L2 provides 3kW and L1 supplies the additional 1.7kW.

  • Surplus Above 6kW:

    • L3 & L2: Both activate to provide a combined fixed output of 6kW.
    • L1: Supplements the combined output, adjusting to meet the surplus up to 9kW.
    • Example: For a surplus of 8.5kW, L2 and L3 each provide 3kW, while L1 supplies the remaining 2.5kW.

The sequential activation of the 3-phase outputs in eddi+ ensures efficient and flexible energy management, allowing you to make the most of your surplus energy. By adjusting output levels dynamically, eddi+ helps maintain optimal performance of your 3-phase immersion heaters, contributing to an efficient and sustainable energy solution.
