Energy Tariffs and Demand Side Response
Many modern energy tariffs offer flexible pricing structures, encouraging consumers to use energy during off-peak times. These dynamic pricing models often integrate with smart devices, such as our zappi, to automate and optimise energy consumption.
If you are integrated with a smart tariff, it is likely that you will not be able to participate in demand-side response (DSR) events that are initiated outside of the tariff. This limitation arises due to restrictions in the current configuration of integrations, which may not support overlapping control systems between tariff management and DSR activities.
Some smart tariffs already incorporate DSR activities, making it impossible for a third party to offer simultaneous DSR participation. This overlap in demand response control means that myenergi cannot effectively manage DSR participation alongside energy providers' integrated systems for example.
