Energy Tariffs and Grid Protection
Many modern energy tariffs offer flexible pricing structures, encouraging consumers to use energy during off-peak times. These dynamic pricing models often integrate with smart devices, such as our zappi, to automate and optimise energy consumption.
Suppose you are integrated with a smart tariff. In that case, it is likely that you will not be able to participate in demand-side response (Grid Protection) events that are initiated outside of the tariff. This limitation arises due to restrictions in the current configuration of integrations, which may not support overlapping control systems between tariff management and DSR activities.
Some smart tariffs already incorporate Grid Protection activities, making it impossible for a third party to offer simultaneous Grid Protection participation. This overlap in demand response control means that myenergi cannot effectively manage Grid Protection participation alongside energy providers' integrated systems for example.
