The myenergi app allows you to manage multiple locations, ecosystems, and gateway products from a single interface. Each ecosystem is linked to a physical location, and all configurations can be tailored to suit your energy usage preferences.
| Term | Definition |
| Location | A physical address (e.g. your home). One location can contain multiple ecosystems. |
| Ecosystem | A group of myenergi products connected to the same hub or product with a vHub. |
| Gateway Product | A hub or vHub product that connects your ecosystem to the internet. These are referred to as “gateway products” in the myaccount web portal. |
The app is structured by ecosystem, but each ecosystem is linked to a location. The hamburger menu displays each ecosystem with its associated location name underneath.
The currently selected ecosystem appears at the top of the menu, along with the serial number of its hub or vHub.
Each location includes the following details:
- Name (e.g. Andy’s house)
- Address (e.g. Fulham Rd., London SW6 1HS)
- Energy tariff (provider and tariff type)
To update this information, go to Settings > Location Settings in the app.
Why is the address required?
Your address helps us deliver tailored support and accurate energy service recommendations.
Can I update just my tariff?
No – changes must go through the full location flow: name, address, and energy tariff together.
To update your tariff:
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Select Location Settings.
- Review or update your location name and address if needed.
- Update your tariff details and tap Save.
New locations can only be created when adding a new ecosystem.
Important
You cannot create a location without first starting a new ecosystem setup.
To create a new location:
- Open the hamburger menu.
- Tap Add new ecosystem.
- If you already have a location, the app will prompt you to create a new one for the new ecosystem.
The myenergi app introduces a structured approach to managing multiple myenergi products, locations, and ecosystems. With the new interface, you can view and organise your ecosystems by location, access settings for each physical site, and tailor configurations to fit your energy preferences. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how locations, ecosystems, and gateways work together in the app, and how you can manage them effectively.
Definitions:
- Location: A physical location (address) where the ecosystem is situated (e.g. your home or your summer house). There can be more ecosystems under a location.
- Ecosystem: A group of myenergi products connected to the same hub or to a product with a vHub. Note that there can be only one hub or vhub within an ecosystem.
- Hub or Product with a vHub: These products relay signals from nearby myenergi products and deliver them to the server via the internet. They are also referred to as “Gateway products” in the myaccount web portal.
New Hamburger Menu:
The app is now organised at the ecosystem level within the hamburger menu. Each ecosystem, however, belongs to a location, so the relevant location name is displayed underneath them. The selected ecosystem is also displayed at the top, along with the additional serial number of its hub or vHub.
Location Settings:
- Name: The name of your location (e.g. Andy’s house).
- Address: The physical address of the location (e.g. Fulham Rd., London SW6 1HS, United Kingdom).
- Energy tariff: Tariff provider and tariff type.
You can provide other non-mandatory attributes via the myenergi myaccount web portal.
Since this information does not change frequently, you can only edit it via the customer app as follows:
Example: You have a new tariff because your previous one has expired:
- Open the Settings menu on the app.
- Click on Location Settings.
- You need to review the Location Name and Address. If you have previously provided these, you do not need to re-enter them.
- After entering the address, you can set up your new energy tariff and click Save.
Questions:
By sharing your address, you can ensure that you receive the optimum experience when it comes to technical support and aftersales, as well as the most relevant propositions for any future energy services
In the app, you can only create a new location if you want to set up a new ecosystem. This is because the app differentiates between ecosystems within the menu. If you have no locations, you can create one by tapping the “Add new ecosystem” button within the hamburger menu. If you already have a location, when you initiate the new ecosystem creation flow, the app will prompt you to create a new location for that.
