Fault Code (4)5 – Back-Feed Voltage!

Fault Code (4)5 is triggered when the device detects an unexpected voltage at the heater output terminals. This can occur if the terminals are connected to a power supply or if there is an incorrect or faulty connection in the heater wiring.

Checks to Perform

  1. Ensure Heater Output Terminals Are Not Connected to Any Supply Voltage
    • Verify that the heater output terminals are not accidentally connected to any external power supply.
    • Double-check the wiring to ensure there are no unintended connections to live circuits.
    • If the heater is part of a larger system, ensure no back-feeding of power from other devices or sources.
  2. Inspect Heater Wiring for Incorrect Connections or Faults
    • Carefully examine the heater wiring for any signs of damage, incorrect connections, or short circuits.
    • Look for wires that may have come loose or are incorrectly attached to the wrong terminals.
    • If there are any signs of wear or faults, repair or replace the wiring as needed.

Post-Check Actions

  1. After making the necessary corrections, reset the system and check if the error persists.
  2. If the fault code clears, monitor the system during normal operation to ensure the issue does not reoccur.
  3. If the error remains after performing these checks, contact technical support for further guidance and assistance.

Preventative Recommendations

  • Regularly inspect and maintain the heater wiring to prevent faults or incorrect connections.
  • Ensure that all connections are made according to the manufacturer’s wiring diagrams and instructions.
