Details of firmware releases for the eddi v2.1 with built in Ethernet, WiFi and "vHub" (all eddis with a serial number starting with a 2 or higher)

Please Note

This firmware release only applies to the eddi v2.1 with built in Ethernet, Wi-Fi and "vHub".  These eddis have a serial number starting with a "2" or higher.
It does not apply to previous versions of eddi without the built in Wi-Fi/Ethernet.

Key Updates

Improved eddi+ Compatibility

  • eddi 2.1 now integrates seamlessly with eddi+, ensuring optimal performance.

Enhanced Dual Heater Operation

  • Outputs set to "None" will no longer activate unnecessarily, preventing energy waste.
  • Manual boosts are improved: prioritise which heater runs first and easily check boost durations.
  • Bug fixes ensure better stability when using dual heaters.

Heat Battery Icon & State

  • A new Heat Battery icon now displays when maximum temperature is reached.
  • eddi 2.1 will maintain heat for up to 60 minutes after reaching max temperature.
  • The Heat Battery state will only re-engage after 30 days or another max temperature cycle.

Temperature Safety Cut-Off

  • If a PT1000 sensor detects temperatures above 93°C for over 3 seconds, eddi 2.1 will trip for safety.
  • Resetting can be done quickly via an on-screen prompt.

General Improvements

G100 Communication Enhancements

  • Improved server messaging and algorithm refinements for smoother G100 operation.

Smarter Temperature Limits

  • The "Grid Temperature Limit" can no longer exceed the "Generation Temperature Limit."
  • Any surplus energy will divert to the Generation Temperature Limit when required.

Lower Minimum Temperature Setting

  • PT1000 sensors can now be set as low as 10°C.

Translation Updates

  • Improved German translations for a better user experience.

Information Display Enhancements

  • G100-enabled systems now display their status directly on the master eddi 2.1 info screen.

  • Resolved an issue with three-phase systems in the installation assistant affecting phase settings.
  • Fixed relay bugs impacting manual boosts and transitions between scheduled/manual boosts.
  • Corrected G100 timestamp log reset issues.
  • Smoothed out UI issues when exiting linked device menus.
  • Improved text labels for external CTs to enhance clarity.
  • Fixed a display issue with consumption power readings.
  • Improved recovery process for devices with corrupted MAC or Serial addresses.
