Why do I see rejected status when starting a remoteStartTransaction?

Following the OCPP specification, zappi will reject a remoteStartTransaction in the following scenarios:

  1. A charging session is already on going
  2. The charger is in an unavailable or faulted state

In some scenarios you may find that a remoteStartTransaction is incorrectly rejected. This can occur if the previous transaction did not close correctly. If your charger is incorrectly rejecting remore start transaction commands, please do the following:

  1. Check that the criteria above has not been met
  2. Reset the charge point
  3. Once reset, confirm the charge point status is available or preparing (if a vehicle is plugged in)

Additional troubleshooting

If you continue to see rejected messages, it may be because a charging session is still open, please carry out the following:

  1. Using the myenergi app or the buttons on zappi start a charging session by moving from STOP mode to one of the charge modes. A vehicle should be plugged in.
  2. Allow charging to continue for around 2 minutes
  3. STOP the charging session using the myenergi app
  4. Wait for the stoptransaction message to be received on the OCPP platform you're using.
