Details of firmware releases for the eddi v2.1 with built in Ethernet, WiFi and "vHub" (all eddis with a serial number starting with a 2 or higher)

Please Note

This firmware release only applies to the eddi v2.1 with built in Ethernet, Wi-Fi and "vHub". These eddis have a serial number starting with a "2" or higher.
It does not apply to previous versions of eddi without the built in Wi-Fi/Ethernet.

New Features

 

General Improvements

  • When a device checks for updated firmware, it should perform a DNS lookup of the firmware server IP address.
  • Implementation of a brute force mechanism for the Installer Pincode. The eddi will be locked for 1 minute after 3 incorrect pins have been entered.
  • Add Support of radio legacy mode. This change will stop devices transmitting/receiving packets over RF when legacy mode is disabled.
  • Amended "Linked Devices" menu, introduction of "Comms Settings" entry & support of "Legacy Mode"
  • Significant improvement on Minute Data Handling.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue related to vHub features where devices could freeze or trigger NMI faults.

  • Fixed issue related to minute history data (which occurs after 7 days of run-time)
