If your libbi displays Code 175 / W24: BMS Severe Over Temp, this indicates that the Battery Management System has detected temperatures which are too high for the libbi's normal operating temperature.
What does this mean?
The BMS continuously monitors battery temperature to ensure safe operation. If the temperature rises above the maximum safe limit, Code 175 / W24: BMS Severe Over Temp is triggered. This is a protective measure to prevent:
- Permanent damage to the battery cells
- Reduced battery lifespan
- Potential overheating hazards
When this warning is active, the libbi may temporarily stop charging or discharging the batteries until temperatures return to a safe level.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Check the ambient temperature around the batteries.
- If temperatures are high (above +50°C), shut down libbi and allow to cool to a more ambient temperature.
If your libbi still displays Code 175 / W24: BMS Severe Over Temp when the libbi is in a normal temperature window (-10°C to +50°C), please contact the myenergi Technical Support Team.
