If your libbi displays Code 179 / W25: CT Reverse, this indicates that the Grid Current Transformer (CT) used to monitor grid energy flow is likely installed in reverse.
What does this mean?
The CT clamps are used by libbi to measure the direction and amount of power flowing to and from the grid. When a CT is installed backwards, the system detects power flow in the opposite direction to what is expected. As a result:
- Energy readings may be incorrect, affecting solar export calculations and battery operation.
- libbi may mismanage energy flows, leading to inefficient operation.
- The warning protects the system and highlights incorrect installation.
Troubleshooting Steps
WARNING
Only complete the following steps, if you are a qualified Installer/Electrician.
- Find the location of the Grid CT and check orientation.
- If incorrect, unclip and re-clip to the correct orientation.
If your libbi still displays Code 179 / W25: CT Reverse, please contact the myenergi Technical Support Team for further assistance.
