By allowing us to make small adjustments to your charging, at most pausing for an hour during the night, you help support the use of renewable energy on the grid. It is a simple way for you to receive a reward and help the planet, without impacting your normal charging routine. You will be rewarded with £5 every month you charge.
No matter what mode you charge in, you can still participate in Gridpay LITE. Your car will continue to charge according to your overall preferences, while also helping the grid.

Getting Started
What will I get for participating in Gridpay LITE?
We will reward you with £5 every month that you charge your vehicle. You’ll earn the first £5 reward if you remain opted in for 14 days.
How long will you reduce the charging rate of my charger?
The reduction in charging rate will be for a maximum of one hour during an overnight charging session. It is carefully designed to ensure your vehicle is still charged according to your preferences, with minimal impact on the delivered charge.
Will my car still be charged when I need it?
Yes. The system ensures your vehicle charges according to your usual preferences and schedule. The brief reduction in charging rate is carefully timed to limit any impact on your charging needs. Your Monthly Rewards
What do I need to do to get my monthly reward?
All you need to do is charge with your zappi device at least once during the month. The brief charge rate reduction occurs automatically behind the scenes, so no additional action is required from you.
How do I receive my monthly rewards?
Your rewards are sent to you monthly via Gridpay Lite rewards. Fourteen days after enrolment, and every month after that, you will receive an email confirming that your reward has been added to your Gridpay Lite account. From there, you can withdraw your reward directly to your bank account. This is an easy and secure way for you to receive your Gridpay Lite rewards
Effects on Charging
Exactly how much could my total charge be reduced by?
Under ideal conditions, a single phase zappi will charge at 7.2 kW. This service reduces that charging rate to 1.4 kW for a maximum of one hour during overnight charging sessions. This results in a maximum reduction in delivered charge of 5.8 kWh. This is equivalent to approximately 17.4 miles, 29 km, of range based on average EV miles per kWh. In practice, the impact is likely to be lower, as this represents a maximum impact scenario.
How can I mitigate the potential effects of this service?
If you normally charge for 3 hours overnight, your charger will deliver 21.6 kWh. This service could at most reduce this to 15.8 kWh. If you increase your charge schedule to 4 hours, you will receive a minimum of 23 kWh, which aligns with your usual charging levels. If you are on a dual rate tariff, please ensure that any adjustments stay within your overnight cheap rate window to keep your charging economical.
Which charging modes is Gridpay LITE compatible with?
Gridpay LITE is compatible with all zappi modes.
What if I charge during the day?
We only adjust the charge rate during overnight charging sessions. Any daytime charging is unaffected.
Can I participate if another app or service controls my charging?
No. You will need to opt out if another app or service controls your charging through your zappi or your car.
How Gridpay Lite Works with Your Tariff
What if I am on a single-rate or dual-rate tariff?
Gridpay Lite works normally on single-rate and dual-rate tariffs. Your zappi will continue to follow your charging preferences, and you can still receive monthly rewards if you remain enrolled.
Am I eligible for Gridpay Lite if I’m on a smart tariff?
No. Gridpay Lite is not compatible with smart tariffs where your charger or vehicle is connected directly to your electricity supplier. Examples include Octopus Intelligent Go and OVO Charge Anytime Add-On. We aim to avoid enrolling users on these tariffs, but our data may be incomplete or out of date. Why was I invited to the programme if I think my tariff is incompatible?
We determine tariff types based on the best information available to us, but in some cases our data may be incorrect or not fully up to date. If your tariff includes automatic charging control from your supplier, please opt out using the link in the original notification email to ensure your charging is not affected. Managing Your Participation
Can I opt out of Gridpay LITE?
Yes. You can opt out at any time using the link in your original notification email or by contacting us at gridpay@myenergi.com. Once you opt out, you will stop receiving your £5 monthly rewards

Yes, absolutely. You can re enrol at any time by emailing us at gridpay@myenergi.com.
