Gridpay LITE
Gridpay LITE rewards you for making your EV charging more grid friendly. By allowing small adjustments to your charging, you help support the use of renewable energy on the grid while receiving a monthly reward.
Gridpay LITE may briefly reduce your charging rate during an overnight charging session. This adjustment lasts for a maximum of one hour and is designed to have minimal impact on the charge delivered to your vehicle.
How Gridpay LITE works
Gridpay LITE allows myenergi to make small adjustments to your charging rate during an overnight charging session. At most, your charging rate may be reduced for one hour.
The service is designed to help support the use of renewable energy on the grid without significantly affecting your normal charging routine. Your car will continue to charge according to your overall preferences, regardless of which zappi charging mode you use.
Automatic adjustments
The brief reduction in charging rate happens automatically behind the scenes. You do not need to make any additional changes each time you charge.
Your normal charging preferences
Your vehicle continues to charge according to your usual preferences and schedule, with the adjustment carefully timed to limit its impact.
Your monthly rewards
You will receive £5 for every month that you charge your vehicle using your zappi device while participating in Gridpay LITE.
What do I need to do to receive my reward?
You simply need to charge with your zappi device at least once during the month. The brief charging-rate reduction happens automatically, so no additional action is required.
How will I receive my reward?
- Fourteen days after enrolment, you will receive an email confirming that your reward has been added to your Gridpay LITE rewards account.
- You will then receive an email every month confirming that your monthly reward has been added.
- You can withdraw your reward directly to your bank account from your Gridpay LITE rewards account.
Rewards are sent monthly via Gridpay LITE rewards.
How Gridpay LITE affects charging
Gridpay LITE only adjusts the charging rate during overnight charging sessions. Daytime charging is not affected.
How much could my total charge be reduced by?
Under ideal conditions, a single-phase zappi charges at 7.2 kW. Gridpay LITE can reduce this charging rate to 1.4 kW for a maximum of one hour during an overnight charging session.
This maximum reduction of 5.8 kWh is equivalent to approximately 17.4 miles or 29 km of driving range, based on average EV miles per kWh.
How can I reduce the potential impact?
If you normally charge for three hours overnight, your charger would deliver 21.6 kWh. Gridpay LITE could reduce this to 15.8 kWh at most.
You can increase your charging schedule to allow for the possible reduction. For example, increasing the schedule from three hours to four hours would provide a minimum of 23 kWh.

Gridpay LITE is compatible with all zappi charging modes.
What happens if I charge during the day?
Daytime charging is unaffected. Gridpay LITE only adjusts the charge rate during overnight charging sessions.

Single-rate tariffs
Gridpay LITE works normally with single-rate tariffs. Your zappi continues to follow your charging preferences, and you can still receive monthly rewards while enrolled.
Dual-rate tariffs
Gridpay LITE also works normally with dual-rate tariffs. Your zappi continues to follow your charging preferences, and you can still receive monthly rewards while enrolled.
What about smart tariffs?
Gridpay LITE is not compatible with smart tariffs where your charger or vehicle is connected directly to your electricity supplier.

Getting started
What will I get for participating in Gridpay LITE?
