Early zappi units included letter prefixes before the serial number. These letters also appeared on sales orders and identified the hardware variant of the unit.
Serial numbers follow a simple pattern.
- Seven or eight digits long
- Always start with 1, 2, or 3
- Early models include letter prefixes before the digits
Tip
Letters at the start of a serial number mean it is an early zappi.
