Changed your router or internet provider?
You'll need to reset Wi-Fi on your device before reconnecting. Old settings don't carry over. Step 1 below covers this.
You'll need to reset Wi-Fi on your device before reconnecting. Old settings don't carry over. Step 1 below covers this.
New installation? As part of setting up your myenergi device, your installer should connect it to your home Wi-Fi network before they leave. If you're reading this because that didn't happen, the steps below will walk you through doing it yourself.
Step 1: Reset saved Wi-Fi
- On the device, go to Menu → Other/Device Settings → Advanced/Installer Settings → System → Reset Wi-Fi Config
(Some devices show this as Menu → Other/Device Settings → Advanced → Reset Wi-Fi Config) - If asked, enter your Installer PIN. This was provided by your installer or is in your documentation.
- Press the tick (✓) or plus (+) button to confirm. The screen returns to the previous menu with no confirmation message. This is normal.
Step 2: Enable Wi-Fi on your device
- Go to Other Settings → Internet → Wi-Fi → Wi-Fi Config…
- If Wi-Fi is off, select it and press +/TICK to enable it. Wait a few seconds.
- Scroll down to Access Point. This should already be On. If not, enable it and wait up to 10 seconds for it to turn on.
- Press Menu to return to the Wi-Fi screen. Note down the SSID and Password shown, or take a photo. You'll need these in the next step.
Step 3: Connect using your phone
iPhone / iPad
- Open Settings → Wi-Fi on your iPhone and connect to the myenergi network shown on your device. Enter the password displayed on screen.
- A setup page should open in Safari automatically. If it doesn't, open Safari and go to 192.168.4.1
- Select your home Wi-Fi network from the Detected Networks list. Enter your home Wi-Fi password and press Connect.
Leave "Show IP Settings" unticked unless you need a fixed IP address. - Wait about 15 seconds. The page should confirm "Connected: True" and your device screen will show "Connected".
Password rules: At least 9 characters, one uppercase letter, one number. No special characters (!, @, # etc.)
Android
- Open Settings → Wi-Fi on your Android phone and connect to the myenergi network shown on your device.
- Enter the passcode shown on your device. You'll then be asked to create a password to protect the Wi-Fi settings. Keep a note of this for future use.
- Your browser should open the setup page automatically. If not, go to 192.168.4.1 in your browser.
- Select your home Wi-Fi network, enter your password, and press Connect. Wait 5–10 seconds for the page to update.
- After about 15 seconds, the page should confirm "Connected: True".
Password rules: At least 9 characters, one uppercase letter, one number. No special characters (!, @, # etc.)
Note: myenergi devices only connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, not 5GHz. Make sure your router broadcasts a 2.4GHz network.

Troubleshooting and extra options
Connection not working? Common fixes
- Wrong Wi-Fi band: myenergi devices only use 2.4GHz. If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz under the same name, separate them or disable 5GHz during setup.
- Wrong password: Double-check your home Wi-Fi password. Even one wrong character prevents connection.
- Too far from router: Move the device closer to the router, or use a Wi-Fi range extender.
- Router needs a restart: Power off your router for 10 seconds, wait for it to reconnect to the internet, then retry.
- Phone disconnected: Keep your phone connected to the myenergi access point throughout the setup process.
- Changed router or provider: You'll need to reset and reconnect. See Step 1 above.
Connect via WPS (last resort)
Only use this if the standard method above doesn't work.
- Go to the Wi-Fi menu on your device. Enable Wi-Fi if it's off.
- Select "WPS Activate" from the menu.
- Press the WPS button on your router (location varies by model).
- Return to your myenergi device and press +/TICK to start the connection.
- Wait for the screen to show "Connected".
If it fails first time, press the WPS button on your router again and re-activate WPS on your device.
Wi-Fi password limits
myenergi devices accept Wi-Fi passwords up to 32 bytes. Standard letters and numbers are 1 byte each, but emojis, accented letters, and some symbols use more.
If your device won't connect: check your home Wi-Fi password isn't over 32 characters, and remove any emojis or unusual symbols. Then try again.
Router requirements
- Must broadcast 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n). 5GHz-only networks are not supported.
- Should use WPA2 security — WPA3 may cause connection issues.
- MAC address filtering must be disabled, or your myenergi device added to the whitelist.
- SSID (network name) must be visible — hidden networks may not be detected.
GLO (no screen)
GLO has no screen, so you connect it to Wi-Fi via a phone app. You must be within Bluetooth range of the GLO.
Using the Installer Assistant app
Recommended during installation and handover.
- Make sure the GLO is powered on and nearby.
- Open the Installer Assistant app.
- Tap Set up device and select your GLO.
- Go to Internet and set the connection type to Installer (me).
- Enable Wi-Fi, select your network, and enter the password.
- Tap Save, then Install.
Using the myenergi customer app
Before you start: If the GLO has been powered on for more than 15 minutes, power cycle it before beginning.
Add GLO to the app
- Open the myenergi app and tap "+ Add your first eco-system".
- Choose or create a location and fill in any missing address details.
- Select your tariff type. If dual rate, enter your day and night times.
- Scroll to GLO and tap the plus icon. Confirm you have the registration code from your handover email.
- Enter the GLO serial number (starts with 3) and your registration code. Give your eco-system a name.
- The LEDs may flash during setup. The app will confirm when complete. The device may show Offline until Wi-Fi is configured.
Connect GLO to Wi-Fi
- In the app, tap the menu icon (top left) → Settings → Device settings → Update Wi-Fi settings.
- Tap your GLO serial number. Wait for the app to connect via Bluetooth, then enter the Bluetooth PIN. You'll find this in your manual. If you don't have it, support can provide it after ownership checks.
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list (pull down to refresh if nothing appears). Enter your password and tap Finish Wi-Fi setup.
It can take up to 10 minutes for GLO to come online. The app updates once the server connection is confirmed.
Still offline after 10 minutes?
- Double-check the Wi-Fi password is correct.
- Move closer to the router, then go to Update Wi-Fi settings and try again.
- Power cycle the GLO and repeat from step 7.
