Troubleshooting
Device still offline after 10 minutes
- Confirm the correct Wi-Fi password.
- Move closer to the router, then retry Update Wi-Fi settings.
- Power cycle the zappi GLO and repeat Step 7 onward.
- Supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (myenergi devices do not support 5GHz-only networks).
- Uses WPA2 security (WPA3 may cause connection issues).
- Has a stable internet connection with minimal packet loss.
- MAC address filtering is disabled, or the myenergi device is whitelisted.
- SSID broadcasting is enabled (hidden networks may not be detected).
myenergi devices use 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n).
They do not support 5GHz This ensures reliable performance across different network environments, allowing for stable data transfer and enhanced user experience.
- Check Network Compatibility:
Ensure your router supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, as myenergi devices do not support 5GHz bands.
If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks under the same name, consider separating them or temporarily disabling 5GHz during setup. - Improve Signal Strength
Place the myenergi device closer to the router, especially during setup.
If your mobile device also has poor signal strength at the device location, consider using a Wi-Fi range extender to improve coverage. - Restart Your Router and Device
Power off your router for a few seconds and restart it. Wait for it to re-establish an internet connection.
Restart your myenergi device and attempt to reconnect. - Verify Network Credentials
Double-check that the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly. Even minor mistakes will prevent connection. - Check Mobile Device Connectivity
If the myenergi device fails to connect, check if your phone or tablet connects successfully to the router near the device.
This helps determine whether the issue lies with the device or network. - Reset to New Network Settings
If you've changed your router or internet provider, reset and reconnect your myenergi device to the new network, as it will not automatically detect these changes.

⚠️ Troubleshooting:
- If the connection does not succeed on the first attempt, press the WPS button on the router again and reactivate WPS on your myenergi product to retry the connection.
- All myenergi products accept Wi-Fi passwords up to 32 bytes.
-
One byte equals one basic letter or number. Emojis, accented letters, and some symbols use more than one byte.
What you will see
- GLO shows a message if the password exceeds 32 bytes.
-
zappi, eddi, libbi, and harvi do not show this reason. They will fail to join the network.
How to fix
- Check the home Wi-Fi password length and characters.
- Remove emojis, accented letters, and uncommon symbols.
- Keep the password to 32 characters or fewer.
-
Try pairing again.
Installer notes
- If pairing fails and the password includes emojis, accented letters, or long phrases, shorten or simplify it, then retry.
-
If the password is over 32 bytes, ask the customer to update it to meet the limit and reconnect their devices.
Why this exists
- Current firmware enforces a 32-byte Wi-Fi password limit across all products.
- We are reviewing this for a future firmware update. No timeline yet.
