Overview
If you have more than one myenergi product then it’s possible to decide which one has the priority to use any surplus local generation.

From the home screen, use a long touch on one of the device icons (eg the zappi or eddi). | |
After a second the screen will change and you can drag the device icons to change the order,
The device with priority 1 will use the surplus generation first. If there is any surplus generation left over it will be used by device 2, and so on. To get two or more devices to share the surplus power between them, drag one device icon on top of the other. They will then be set to have the same priority When you select the tick to return to the main screen, the relative position of the device icons will have changed to reflect the new priorities

What Is The Optimum Setup?
This depends on what myenergi devices you have and how you use them, One thing to consider is that the EV cannot start charging until there is around 1.4kW available. This is a requirement of the EV Charging Standard IEC 61851-1
This means that if you have less than 1.4kW available then this could be lost to the grid.
If you have an eddi and a zappi you can ensure that you use more of your generation by setting the:
- Zappi to priority 1
- Eddi to priority 2
With these settings, eddi will start diverting any surplus power as soon as you have started exporting (provided there is somewhere for the output from the eddi to go!).
Once eddi is diverting 1.4kW, then there is enough power for the zappi to start charging and it will take over. The eddi output will drop to zero until zappi stops charging again i.e. when there is less than 1.4kW available for the EV.
