This guide will take you through the steps required to perform a factory reset on your eddi, which can be useful in troubleshooting or preparing the device for a fresh setup.
Important Pre-Reset Preparation
Performing a factory reset will erase all customised settings on your eddi. We highly recommend taking note of the following configuration details before proceeding, as they will need to be re-entered post-reset:
- Supply Grid Settings – These determine how your eddi interacts with your grid supply and should be re-entered after the reset.
- CT (Current Transformer) Configuration – This setup ensures that your eddi is accurately tracking energy consumption and generation.
- Linked Devices – Take note of any other myenergi devices (e.g., zappi, harvi) that are linked to your eddi, as these may need re-linking after the reset.

-
Access the Installer Menu:
- Navigate to the Device Settings on your eddi display and press plus.
-
Enter the Installer Settings:
- Select Installer Settings.
- You will be prompted to enter an access passcode. Enter the passcode to proceed. (If you do not have the passcode, please refer to your installer or contact myenergi support for assistance.)
-

- Within the Installer Settings menu, select System.
- Under System, choose Restore Settings to access reset options.
-
Select Factory Reset:
- From the restore settings options, select Factory Reset.
- Press tick on confirm to begin the reset process.
-
Wait for the Device to Reset:
- The eddi will take a few moments to complete the factory reset process. During this time, the device may restart.
-
Reconfigure Your Settings:
- Once the reset is complete, you will need to re-enter the settings you recorded earlier, including supply grid configurations, CT configurations, and linked devices.
- Navigate to each relevant menu option and input the settings as required.
Additional Information
- PTSI Update Note: If you recently received the PTSI update for your eddi, please be aware that the Installer Menu replaced the previous Advanced Menu. All settings adjustments and the factory reset option are now located within the Installer Menu.
By following these steps, you can ensure your eddi is restored to its default factory settings and can quickly be reconfigured to resume normal operation. If you experience issues at any point, please consult the myenergi support team for further assistance.
