Introduction
The harvi is a wireless energy monitoring device designed to work seamlessly with myenergi products. It allows up to three current transformers (CTs) to be connected for accurate energy monitoring without the need for batteries or a power supply.
Before You Start
Before installing harvi, ensure the following:
-
Mounting: harvi can be wall-mounted.
-
CT Connections: Up to three CTs can be connected.
-
Multiple Devices: Multiple harvi units can be used on the same site.
-
Power Requirements: No batteries or external power supply are required.
-
CT Clamp: Only the CT clamp supplied by myenergi must be used.
Installing the CT Clamp
To ensure accurate monitoring, follow these steps:
-
Securely clip the CT clamp around the live conductor to be monitored.
-
Ensure the arrow on the CT points in the direction of normal current flow (usually towards the consumer unit).
-
For single-phase installations, the CT may be clipped around the neutral conductor, but the direction must be reversed.
Connecting the CT Clamp to harvi
-
Pass the CT wire through the top hole of the cable grip on the back of the harvi and push down to lock it in place.
-
Connect 1, 2, or 3 CTs to the CT input terminals as follows:
-
Red wire → (+) terminal
-
Black wire → (-) terminal
-
-
Refit the back enclosure.
-
Ensure power is being drawn on the monitored live tail, then wait up to two minutes for the status LED to start flashing green.
Pairing harvi with a myenergi Device
If pairing harvi to a network of already paired devices, it should only be paired with the ‘Master’ device.
Pairing Steps:
-
Briefly press the pair button on harvi:
-
The LED will flash blue once (indicating channel 1).
-
The LED will then flash red to indicate pairing mode.
-
-
On the myenergi Master device:
-
Go to Settings > Installer Settings> enter passcode > Linked Devices > Pairing Mode.
-
harvi should appear on the screen within a few seconds.
-
Verify the serial number on-screen matches the harvi unit.
-
Press (✔) or (+) to confirm pairing.
-
Changing Channel (Optional)
The default channel is 1, and normally this does not need to be changed. However, if interference occurs or if using older myenergi devices (with serial numbers starting with ‘1’), only channels 1 & 4 can be used.
To Change Channel:
-
Press and hold the pair button until the LED cycles through channels 1 to 8.
-
Release the button when the desired channel is displayed.
-
Ensure all paired myenergi devices are set to the same channel:
-
Settings > Installer Settings> enter passcode > Linked Devices > Channel.
-
Configuring harvi on the myenergi Device
Once paired, harvi must be configured on the myenergi Master device:
Configuration Steps:
-
Navigate to Settings > Installer Settings > CT Config.
-
Disable the corresponding CT input(s) on the Master device (e.g., disable Grid if measured via harvi).
-
Go to Installer Settings > Linked Devices > Devices.
-
Select harvi and press (✔) or (+).
-
Configure the CTs according to the installation manual of your myenergi device.
Considerations for 3-Phase Installations
-
If harvi is used in a 3-phase installation, set it to Three Phase Mode.
-
This ensures all three CT inputs measure the same input source (e.g., grid or generation).
-
Ensure Net Phases is enabled on the myenergi device.
-
Final Checks
-
Ensure the harvi status LED is flashing green, indicating correct operation.
-
Confirm that all paired devices and CT configurations match the intended setup.
-
Refer to the golden CT rules in myenergi device manuals for proper CT installation guidelines.
