myenergi devices use radio frequency (RF) to communicate and pair with one another. Different regions require different RF protocols, meaning devices can operate on either 868MHz or 915MHz. All myenergi devices within a system must be set to the same frequency to ensure proper communication.
This guide explains how to change the radio frequency on myenergi devices when required.
Changing the Radio Frequency
- Press the Pair button on the hub to enter pairing mode.
-
Press and hold both the Pair and Download buttons on the hub for 10 seconds until the Server light turns yellow.
-
One yellow flash indicates the hub is set to 868MHz.
-
Two yellow flashes indicate the hub is set to 915MHz.
-
-
Release the buttons once the desired frequency is selected.
-
Press the Pair button on harvi, then press and hold it.
-
The LED will pulse blue, indicating the channel number (1-8).
-
Continue holding the pair button until the LED pulses yellow once (868MHz), then twice (915MHz).
-
Release the Pair button when the LED pulses twice.
-
The harvi LED will flash red, indicating pairing mode.
-
On the zappi or eddi or libbi navigate to:
-
Menu > Other Settings > Installer Settings > Linked Devices > Pairing Mode
-
-
The harvi serial number will appear on-screen. Press + to accept pairing and configure phase mode and CT settings.
-
The frequency is automatically determined by the time zone setting:
-
Worldwide (Exceptions apply) → 868MHz
-
New Zealand Standard Time (NZST) → 915MHz
If updating to firmware V5 or later, check that all devices are operating on the same frequency.
Australia and New Zealand Market Considerations
-
Devices set to NZST on V5 firmware will communicate on 915MHz.
-
Devices set to NZST on firmware versions prior to V5 will communicate on 868MHz.
-
All myenergi devices in the system must use the same frequency to function properly.
If updating firmware causes a frequency mismatch, use the steps above to adjust the settings accordingly.
Troubleshooting Issues
Devices Not Pairing After Frequency Change
-
Ensure all devices are set to the same frequency (868MHz or 915MHz).
-
If using harvi, ensure it is within range (typically 25-30 metres). Signal may be affected by:
-
Concrete walls
-
Metal objects (switchboxes, roller doors, etc.)
-
Other nearby devices operating on similar frequencies
-
-
Ensure all devices are on the same channel (default is Channel 1).
Legacy harvi Models
-
Legacy harvi models (65A3P & 65A3P-A) are fixed to 868MHz or 915MHz, respectively, and cannot be adjusted.
-
If your harvi is incompatible with your updated system, contact myenergi support to discuss a replacement.
