This method is used to update the Wi-Fi on a zappi GLO during or after installation, via the Installer Assistant App.
Step-by-step instructions:
- Reboot the zappi GLO before starting.
- Open the Installer Assistant app.
- Select Set Up Device from the home screen.
- Once the zappi GLO appears, tap on it and press Continue.
You’ll now be in the full setup view for the selected zappi GLO.
- Scroll to the Internet section.
- Ensure the connection method is set to Installer (Me).
- Toggle on the Wi-Fi option.
- Tap Available Networks and select your Wi-Fi.
- Enter the password when prompted.
- Once connected, tap Save followed by Install to confirm the update.
Note
If Wi-Fi is being setup after the GLO has already been commissioned, there is no need to resend the handover email – the app can be closed after connection
This method is used to update the Wi-Fi on a zappi GLO after installation, via the Customer App.
Step-by-step instructions:
- Open the myenergi app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Go to Settings, then tap Device Settings.
- Select Update Wi-Fi Settings for the zappi GLO you'd like to update.
Bluetooth Required
You must be physically near the zappi GLO to update the Wi-Fi connection, as this process uses Bluetooth pairing.
- Reboot the zappi GLO to ensure it is in pairing mode.
- Once rebooted, tap Search via Bluetooth in the app.
- Select your zappi GLO from the list by matching the serial number.
- Bluetooth PIN is found either in the handover email or in Device Settings in the Customer App.
- Tap Proceed to Wi-Fi Setup.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the correct password.
- Once connected, tap Finish Setup to complete the process.
Note
If the GLO is not broadcasting via Bluetooth, a power cycle may be necessary to re-enable pairing.
