The Sun Shield on the front of zappi GLO is designed for simple removal and reattachment, giving access to internal components when needed. Handle the fascia carefully during this process to prevent damage to the clips or the shield itself.
Sun Shield Removal Diagram
The diagram below shows the position of the securing clips and the correct direction for removing the Sun Shield. Use it as a reference before starting the removal process.
- Identify the clips: Find the two securing clips located on one side of the Sun Shield. These hold it firmly but are designed for easy release.
- Release the clips: Press both clips inwards at the same time. This will release them from the internal frame.
- Unhook the opposite side: Once one side is free, gently pull the Sun Shield out from the clipped side. Then unhook the opposite side carefully.
- Remove the Sun Shield: Gently pull the Sun Shield forward away from the unit. Do not use force, as this could cause damage.
- Position the Sun Shield: Align the hooks on the shield with the matching slots on the unit.
- Engage the hooks: Gently hook one side of the Sun Shield into place.
- Secure the clips: Press the opposite side into place until both clips click to confirm they're engaged.
-
Verify the fit: Press lightly around the Sun Shield edges to ensure it's flush and fully secure.
Important Notes
- Do not apply excessive pressure when removing or fitting the Sun Shield.
- Always make sure both securing clips are properly engaged to maintain a good seal and alignment.
