The Octopus Agile Tariff is a pricing plan that offers cheaper rates during off-peak periods. If you are on this tariff, the overnight charge period(s) will be chosen based on the lowest rate period(s) provided by Octopus the previous afternoon at 4 p.m.
It's important to note that if you set up the Octopus Agile tariff after 4 pm, it may not work and won't choose the cheapest price period until the following evening.
For example, if you input your Octopus Agile Tariff into the app on Monday 1st at 5 pm, you may not benefit from libbi choosing the cheapest overnight pricing periods until the evening of Wednesday 3rd.
To use Agile you will need to use our Myenergi Myaccount. This is so you can set your price points to where you are happy to pay. Once you are logged into your Myaccount, you will need to complete any set-up that is showing on the home page, Essentially we need to know what EV you have and which version of Agile you are on.
To do this, make your way to the account section bottom left and select Vehicles.
Input your EV, If your EV is not listed please choose other and fill in the battery capacity manually.
Once you have set your EV click on Save Changes.
Next, we need to set your tariff if you haven't done this via our app already - How do I set my energy tariff in the myenergi app?
Click on Location, then Location Settings.
Once you can see the below page, click on edit details and select your version of Agile.
Now we have your EV and Tarrif set, the last step is to set up the price points and click on Schedules.
and then the Budget Charge add a price Limit.
Now fill in how much you are happy to pay per kWh and the times your EV is likely to be plugged in. By default, the times are 24/7 possibility of being plugged in.
Once saved, around 4:20 each day zappi will automatically set its boost timer for the next 24 hours in readiness for the cheap rates. This is dependent on the feed for octopus coming through, if that fails, zappi will not be able to set a timed boost as it does not have any tariff details for the next 24 hours.
If you want to see your boost points, you can do this via our tariff screen on the myaccount also.
Aslong as your EV is plugged in you are in ECO+ and your car is ready to get its boosts, you will see that charge occurs in line with your price points!
