Commercial mode is a new feature available on zappi chargers with built-in Wi-Fi after firmware 5.542. The firmware can be installed for free. To use commercial mode, you will need a third-party platform that can control your charger. You can find a list of compatible platforms we have worked with here.
Note: Commercial Mode is specifically designed to be used with an OCPP (third-party) platform. You cannot use commercial mode without a third-party service and OCPP. For a list of third-party OCPP services that have been tested, please refer to the list here. Additional charges may apply for third-party services.
Commercial Mode Principles
Enabling commercial mode simplifies the display to focus on charging in public scenarios. It also allows operators to display information such as the required app for customers to start charging, tariff details, and support contact information.
Warning: In commercial mode, the master PIN code will no longer grant access to the menus on zappi chargers. To access the menus after enabling commercial mode, you must enable maintenance mode via OCPP. This is done to prevent unauthorized changes to the zappi settings by charger users. Entering other user PIN codes set in myenergi myaccount will only enable charging and will no longer grant access to the charger's menus.
