Even if you have OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) or charging profiles enabled, you can still use the myenergi app. However, the app's functionalities may be limited depending on what the third-party OCPP platform is controlling.
If you notice any unusual behavior, such as a charging session starting and immediately stopping, or zappi indicating that it's waiting for the next schedule, it is likely that the third-party OCPP platform is causing these actions. It is recommended to contact the platform you are using to understand why this is happening.
If you start charging by unlocking your charger from the myenergi app and selecting a charging mode (Fast, Eco, or Eco+), zappi will treat it as a free vend transaction. The OCPP PlugandChargeID parameter will be sent to the platform you are using. However, this may result in your session not being accurately recorded in your third-party account with the platform provider. Some providers might also refuse this session and request us to stop the charging session. If this happens, you will usually see the charging stop within a few seconds of starting and zappi will move to STOP mode.
You will still be able to monitor the charging progress and view the charging history from the app. You can also remotely stop charging sessions if desired.
If you or your OCPP platform provider are using charging profiles to control the energy flow through the charger, you will not be able to select your charging mode. Additionally, any boosts (smart, scheduled, or manual) will not be applied.
