The zappi offers two mounting options: wall mounting and post mounting. This guide provides comprehensive instructions for both methods, ensuring that installers achieve accurate results on the first attempt – eliminating the need for unnecessary re-drilling.
Mounting heights?
When installing a any charger, several requirements must be considered, including the height of the Electric Vehicle (EV) socket outlet.
Although Amendment 1 of the 18th Edition has removed specific installation height requirements for EV socket outlets, BS 7671:2018+A1:2020 continues to reference the BS 8300 series.
According to these standards, the EV socket outlet should be installed at a height between 0.75 and 1.2 metres from the Finished Floor Level (FFL). Additionally, the top of any associated displays should be positioned between 1.2 and 1.4 metres from the FFL.
Cable Entry Points
There are four designated cable entry points on the zappi, as shown in the diagram below. To maintain the unit's IP65 weatherproof rating, all cables must be appropriately glanded.
Drilling additional holes outside of these designated entry points is strictly prohibited, as it compromises the unit's integrity and will void the product warranty.
