Overview
Although all EVs should comply fully with the international standard, IEC 61851-1, a few have some quirks that make it difficult for zappi to control the power output as the available generation changes.
The Compatibility Mode menu provides some settings that help zappi in these cases.
The settings that can be changed are:
Active
When set to “On” the zappi will adapt to EVs with poor power factor.
Min PWM
Controls the Pilot PWM minimum limit. - The higher the value the higher the lowest charge rate will be.
Power Factor
When Active is “on” the measured power factor must be better than this set value to enable a lower charging current set by Min PWM.
End Charge Delay
Charge Complete status is delayed by this time to allow access to the vehicle without starting a new charge session
When to use Compatibility Mode?
It is recommended to only use the Compatibility Mode setting when advised to do so by myenergi technical support. This is because the settings in Compatibility Mode are designed to address specific issues and quirks that may arise with certain electric vehicles.
Using Compatibility Mode without proper guidance from technical support may not improve the charging experience and may even cause problems. Therefore, it's always best to consult with myenergi technical support before making any changes to the Compatibility Mode settings.
